To find your awning replacement size take a measurement from the center of the left side awning arm to the center of the right side awning arm. DO NOT TAKE a measurement of the actual awning fabric. Fabric size is determined by center of arm to center of arm measurement ONLY. When taking your measurement to determine your awnings size, you will act like the fabric is already removed, DO NOT even pay attention to it. You are measuring the center to center (middle of left arm to middle of right arm) distance between your arms, you are NOT measuring your fabric.

Dometic Quality Not the Same

No problems with Dyers, I received the product in a timely manner and in good condition. The awning is definitely not of the same Dometic quality as the one I took off (2006 Dometic). The seems are not sewn as well as the original, single stitching instead of double. First trip out it rained and the awning leaked at the top due to the poor stitching. Disappointed with the poor Dometic quality, but happy with the shade it provided.

awning fabric is exactly what we expected. Could have gotten it for $30 less else where but Dyers was the first to reply to a question I had, so I went with them. Still felt like we got a decent price compared to what we could have gotten one for at our local RV store in the same amount of time. Hassle free, very pleased with transaction.

The 18' replacement for Domestic 8500 arrived in 3 days in a sturdy cylinder. I watched the how-to YouTube videos and reviewed direction on how to choose you fabric with on their web site. Very clear instruction, I would go so far as to say…fool proof. It took me longer to install then others have mentioned, probably because I kept reviewing the installation videos. I also didn’t have the correct size rivets so I suggest others make sure they do. Time for install took 3-1/2 hours.

Arrived much quicker than I expected and while I wouldn't say removal and replacement is an easy job I was able to accomplish it without too much difficulty. The fabric was the correct size and fit perfectly. Like a previous reviewer I would suggest rolling the fabric around a smaller stiff tube and securing it to that tube prior to placing it in the shipping tube. Mine had also been standing on end at some point in the shipment process and the fabric was badly wrinkled.

I am truly enjoying my new awning fabric. I installed it with ease with the help of one more person. I am very happy with the product. however the carrier I am very disappointed with. I believe it was UPS, but I found the product standing upright when it specifically said to lay flat. The fabric is wrinkled. I believe if the fabric was rolled onto a 3 inch cardboard tube, the fabric would not had gotten wrinkled either.
