I installed the satellite dish, mounting plate and wiring in about three hours (and during one of our notable heat waves of 105 degrees).
The mounting plate is highly recommended. It is predrilled making the overall mounting of the dish to the RV roof much easier while protecting the rubber membrane. My RV (2013 Redwood 36 RL 5th wheel) has aluminum roof trusses on sixteen inch centers. I positioned the plate such that the plate was over two of the trusses. I also purchased the small dish roller landing plate however that part is not required when using the dish mounting plate. The electronics checked out on the first power up. The instructions are easy to follow and guide the owner very effectively. There is also a video on YouTube that is recommended to watch for becoming familiar with installation requirements.

No more going around the campground like a bonehead trying to find the satelite. I now have about 200' of coax I dont need anymore. I really thought installing and and wireing the dish was very easy. Great product.

Took off a Kingdome in-motion satellite . A local RV shop installed the Winegard for $125.00. I got the new Genie from Directv and now I can watch/record 5 different channels at the same time. Just like at home. Dyer's had the dish to me very fast as I was leaving for a trip. I couldn't be happier! Great picture quality with no rain fade.

This is one great satellite dish receiver. It works exactly as advertised. Push one button and in a short time you are watching in glorious HD, all the DirecTV channels you get at home. After having struggled with aiming a standard definition dish, I really appreciate the ease with which this unit automatically locks on to the best signal. Could not be more satisfied with the purchase.

I absolutely love this new dish from Winegard. It is pricey, but it is just what we were looking for. And I actually think that it works so well, that it justifies the price. The dish arrived in a matter of days from Dyer's with no damage. All the DirecTV channels are available, and the HD picture is amazing. The best part about the dish, is that it works just like our tv's at home. Completely seamless!
