Works like the original

The latch broke off of the original handle, so I had to replace it. This replacement part has all the correct outside dimensions, so it functions perfectly. However, it is molded as a thin shell as opposed to the solid molding of the original, and it doesn't feel right.
Dyers was great, the part arrived a day before I expected it, price was good (I shopped around). I was leaving for a two week trip, so it went on.
When I get a chance, I will take the handle off and use some epoxy putty to fill the hollow handle so it feels right. I understand why it was "Value Engineered" to make the part less costly to produce, but that doesn't mean i need to like it.
