Tooth gear designed scissor arms engage to ensure straight-line vertical extension and retraction. Easy operating crank handle turns a double lead acme threaded drive screw for quick raising. Black rust inhibitive coating on the jack and shiny zinc-plated handle ensures long life. May be mounted in front or rear.

Easy to install. I agree with other reviews that this a solid product for the money. I also agree that the consumer should have the option of buying only one jack.....not two, when only one has to be replaced. I changed both with no problem and will keep the remaining good one as a spare in the event it's needed (hopefully not!)

The jack was an exact replacement for the one I forgot to raise before pulling out of an RV park! I was concerned about whether the mounting holes would match the originals on my 2002 Aljo trailer. I was happy to find that the jacks came with a universal mounting bracket that fit without drilling. Replacement took about 30 minutes.
My only suggestion is that the jacks be available as singles. BAL packages them in pairs with a crank handle, which increases both the item cost and shipping. I guess I can say that that having another spare will assure that I won't do this again!!
