high cost, some flaws..
the cost is very high, all !! edges should be deburred, NO sharp edges !!! they cut vinyl surfaces !! as well as fingers!! a lip/hood needs to be fabricated into each piece to cover the attachment point of the vinyl to the RV.. NO exposed vinyl !!! nice try!! but your product falls short of being well thought out, simply cutting a 4 inch piece of piping and selling it as a product designed as a awning cover, isn't a fair trade!! and it certainly seems a couple of the feedback comments are contribed by some one else, other than a real consumers!! sorry, just being honest, over all it's a decent product, but!!! needs refining and re-priced to be fair... Problem solved
I have the answer to all the complaints on here with the leading edge being exposed ... after installing the awning protector on my RV and rotating it up as far as I could I looked and noticed my leading edge was exposed and more so in the middle where it sagged there was at least an inch plus exposed ... so after banging my head on this trying to look at product modifications I realized the Awning needed modifying, my awning sat low to the RV roof line, I then decided to raise the stops on the extension tracks to give lift to the aning and raised it 1-2 inches now the leading edge sits lower allowing the awning cover to roll further around the top solving the exposed edge ... I hope this helps

I can't believe how many cheapos took the time to comment negativly
I think its a great product. everyone is complaining that it doesn't cover the top bead. Try installing it with the top edge inside the gutter. solves the problem. The product solves a big problem and I am happy with it. As for those who are too cheap to understand Cost = benefit . . . go ahead try to make it yourself! while your awning fabric is rotting away. I really do not think it can be improved on and it is well worth the investment!
