Mobile Outfitters 5th Wheel Ground Control Complete Wireless Leveling System
As an RVer you know that no matter where you go the ground is not level and leveling a 5th wheel is a time consuming and frustrating chore. The Ground Control Complete Wireless Leveling System levels your 5th wheel with ease. This is not just landing gear, but a complete wireless leveling system that raises to meet your hitch, and levels your 5th wheel camper with the push of a button on a wireless remote! If you are looking for an all in one system this is for you!
The Ground Control Wireless 5th Wheel leveling system is the top of the line aftermarket leveling system that comes with landing gear, rear jacks and a wireless remote. The heavy duty construction of the jacks in the Ground Control Complete Leveling System means each jack can level up to 5,000 pounds while the system as a whole is able to stabilize 20,000 lbs. Note** It is not recommended you use these jacks for lifting, for example lifting your RV off the ground to change a tire.**
All four jacks come with large footpads for stability. These large footpads also prevent your 5th wheel from sinking into soft ground. Corrosion resistant powder coating and weatherproof sealed heads mean that these jacks will last and last taking whatever the outdoors throws at them.
The Ground Control Wireless Leveling system is 4x faster than the competitors! Raising and lowering the jacks takes seconds, not minutes. This system does almost all the work for you! It remembers the position that you hooked and unhooked your trailer so that you can easily and quickly hook-up. No more guesswork!
Easy bolt on installation and simple maintenance. This leveling system does not require hydraulics, making it a breeze to install. If your battery power is low, don’t worry! You can manually lower and raise the jacks with a 3/8’ ratchet wrench (ratchet wrench not included). Dyers was great to work with and Reico Titan is excellent!
Review byChris
Dyers shipped the product and it arrived on time. The control box and remotes were a couple days behind the jacks and hardware but was easily tracked. Had an issue with one power head but Reico Titan shipped a new one immediately with absolutely no hassle. Great people to deal with!
This Rieco Titan AKA Mobile Outfitters Ground Control owned by Lippert set is well thought out and exactly what I was looking for. And everything except 4 little screws for mounting the brain box, were all there and complete. You probably should mention that JT stabilizers do fit without any modifications. Very happy and ready to get into retirement mode. And for what I saved I will have extra to retire on.
With the help of a friend, we installed the new jacks in about 5 hours. I had installed the wireing harness the day before, about 2 hours but from there on...smooth sailing. I agree you need a good titanium bit to set the way for the self taping bolts on the rear jacks. An impact rench really speeds the process. The front jacks just came out thru the top perfectly and the install was just reversing the process. I have a 2005 NuWa....WOW! Instead of getting out of the vehicle twice to get things lind up for the hookup...now I just set in the cab and run the front jacks up and down to fit my hitch and.....I am hooked up. I think I have sold my first set to a camper next to me in Douglas, Wy.! It is one hell of a system...check around there are deals out there.
IMPRESSED!!!!!!!!
PS: You will learn how to houist your camper so you will not have to put out extra stabilizers.
I installed this on my 2008 Sunnybrook. Set up at camp grounds is now a pleasure and much quicker. No more boards and manual jacking to level. It is also nice to be able to raise or lower the trailer from the tow truck while hitching or un-hitching. Installing was a bit of a challenge because the front motors hit the trailer frame so the brackets had to be relocated and extended. It took about 6 hours to install and a couple welds to add the new longer brackets. The instructions were perfect and made installing about as easy as you could expect.
I installed the jacks on my 2003 Jayco 31ft 5th wheel. The only issue during installation was that the front jacks did not fit without modification of the camper frame mounting brackets. If the new jack was placed where the originals were positioned, then the bottom of the Rieco-Titans sat too far up in the frame, and the top of the motor would have hit the floor of the camper. In order to install them in the correct position, the top bracket was cut off the camper frame, the lower mounting notch of the jack was re-positioned below the bottom of the lower frame bracket and the new upper bracket was fabricated and welded to the camper frame. This allowed the jack to move down the width of the mounting bracket the required one inch which then fit properly. In addition, in order for the motor to fit on top without hitting the camper frame, the new brackets were fabricated with 3/8" metal instead of the 3/16" originals. This allowed the jack to angle slightly inward on top, and the motor then fit with appropriate clearance at the side between the motor and the frame. The shims that Rieco-Titan supplied for that purpose were not, in my opinion adequate for the job. The rear jacks installed without any difficulty, as did the wiring harness. The harness was more than long enough for my 31 foot unit, with several feet of wire left over to coil at the rear jacks. A much longer unit could be wired without difficulty. The remote control is easy to use, and functions well away from the camper. Speed of travel is likewise excellent, and reduced the coupling/loading and unloading time by 2/3. Particularly pleasing is the sitting in the truck and coupling without any assistant needed to push the motor switch in the camper. The jacks angle outward 2 degrees and stabilize the camper much better than the originals. All in all a very good product. I would certainly advise purchase. Allow at least 6 hours for the install for an experienced do-it-yourself mechanic with a helper.
I waited until my first outing with the system before submitting a review. I must say it is everything that I could ask for. It is a well designed and constructed system and works flawlessly. The install, while not easy, is straightforward. I am 65 years old and did it with no helper. You do have to drill the frame for the rear jacks so make sure that you have a good quality drill bits. It is especially nice to not have to carry leveling boards or blocks and guessing how much to raise one side or the other before unhitching. Push a couple of buttons and it is level. It is not auto leveling; although once level by raising or lowering the individual jacks one button raises or lowers all jacks if you desire. I actually like having individual control. I can easily lift all four wheels off the ground for maintenance. If you have the JT Strongarm or similar stabilizing system as I do, it fits the front jacks like they were designed for them. The rear stabilizers remain in place so you end up with 6 points of ground contact although I am not sure how much the rear stabilizers are required now. The rear jacks angle out 2 degrees to stop side to side movement and that seems to work well.
This is a well built item that is a do it yourself install. Takes some time and a least a six pack to do. Seems to work great, have not been on road with it yet but performs great at home...
