Description / Garnet SeeLevel II 709 Monitoring System
You want to be captain of your RV, having all of your tank readings in one location to alert you of LP gas levels, battery life and holding tank space. The Garnet SeeLevel II 709 Monitoring System is your co-captain giving you information when you simply push a button. You do not need to go out and check your propane levels or run out in the rain and check your battery charge – go to your Garnet SeeLevel II 709 and push the battery button to find out how much battery life is left. It is that easy!
It should not be rocket science for you to try to figure out the readouts of your holding tank levels. The led screen on the Garnet SeeLevel 709 system displays percentages on the easy to read 3 digit alpha numeric display. No more single points the 3 digit alpha numeric LED display is always waiting with an actual number as a percent of how full your tanks and battery are. Tanks are constantly monitored using Garnet’s proprietary external level sensing technology
Are you concerned your tank might be too small or too large to accommodate the sensors for the Garnet System? Don’t worry! Garnet sender strips are 12” long and can be trimmed if needed. The Garnet system can measure tanks up to 24” with additional sender strips (additional strips sold separately). The easy to peel back of the sender strips has a 3m adhesive that will stick on your tank and stay there giving you accurate tank readings.

I purchased this as my current sensor system always reads partial full with the black and grey tanks. Cleaning has not helped. Considered getting the better sensors out there but then heard there were problems with them. My tanks were 11 inches tall. That meant I could cut the sensors to 10.5 inches or 9 inches. 10.5 was on the edge of too long and 9 was too short. Tried 10.5 but wasn't getting 0% due to being too close to the bottom. Cut to 9 inches, so the tanks will not be fully empty when reading 0% or full when reading 100%. I don't mind that, since it lets me know when I am very close to full or empty, but have a little buffer. Haven't given it a test run yet, but looks good so far. One of the sensors was bad, but Garnet replaced it quicky on my word alone. Not bad service.

Easy to install IF you tape the sensor in place to decide where you want zero to be. I set mine so I have 2 or 3 gallons left when it says zero. Works very well. Don't know why Tiffin doesn't fit them as original equipment.

This is my fourth installation of this product. Twice for friends and twice for two different coaches that I own. The OEM level sensors worked poorly. The Garnet sensors work VERY well! It is so nice to know how full the waste tanks are! This device takes all the uncertainty away. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to know the status of the tanks with a definite degree of certainty.
I will say that the LPG level is NOT very accurate, but it wasn't with the OEM sensor, either. I believe the temperature prevents an accurate measurement.

Install was easy. Tank sides in the Balboa are "split" -- that is, they do not have a single continuous surfaces as they are plastic welded 3/4 from the top. That said, sensors still mounted easily and do provide readings. Fresh water (with flat sides) reads accurately; grey and black are relative based on the split level of the side of the tank. Am calibrating grey and black based on the amount of water used. I would recommend this product as it provides a better reading of the stock meeting on this trailer.

Surprise, a first for my RV black tank, it reads correctly

After years of guessing what the tank levels were and not willing or able to drill new holes in the tank for different probes I finely bought the Sealevel.. Installation was simple except for the limited space between tank and frame and the routing and support of the wires. Installation worked, now to see how well it lasts with external exposed tanks with the extra coating suggested by the install instructions.

Sensors need to be installed very carefully to work properly.

The sensors are very sensitive and need to be installed so that the wires to not cross over the reader boards. Had one bad sensor had to have a new one sent. Later needed another sensor so I could redo the freshwater tank as it was not reading correctly. Likely my installer not being careful. Now the fresh water tank reads very well in tenths. The Grey and Black seem to only read in .5 increments. Not sure if this is also an installer issue or not. I may need to purchase two more and redo the board placements. Not sure yet.

First the black wasn't reading correctly, advised to try to clean out the tank a bit, worked afterwards, but I thought a good tank wasn't necessary because the gauge tape was mounted on the exterior of the tank.
LPG scan even after calibrating after fill up reads inconsistently.
I will have to keep monitoring, it's winter now, so will know better after a summer season.
