RV and Motor Home toilets or commodes as they are sometimes called come in various styles and models. Permanent mount toilets are found in most Class A, C, travel trailers and some folding RV’s. Permanent mount means the commode is bolted to the floor of the RV and is not moveable. The styles of permanent mount toilets are a high profile, which means the toilet sits higher. Usually about 17 inches. Low profile is a lower sitting toilet with a height of around 15 inches.
There are hand flush models which have a hand lever on the side of the toilet for flushing. Foot flush toilet models have a pedal on the bottom of the toilet that you push with your foot to flush. There are china bowl toilets which are very similar to residential home toilets.
Water saver toilets use less water to flush then the regular RV toilets which is a nice feature if you are dry camping.
There are two color choices white or parchment (off white).
Portable RV toilets are used mainly in folding camping trailers or tent campers.
Portable toilets are self contained, they have a small water tank for freshwater flushing and a small waste tank. Once the waste tank is full you disconnect it from the toilet and dump the tank at a RV dump station.
